Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing duties including Expatriate shadow payroll
  • Track/Maintain records for taxable employee benefits related to long-term project assignments
  • Ensure cross-border tax compliance for ExPat/InPat employees
  • Track/Maintain records for Resident/Non-Resident Alien, VISA employees
  • Multi-jurisdictional, state, unemployment, workers compensation tax compliance, including responding to notices and correspondence from tax authorities
  • Prevailing wage compliance, including calculating employee pay adjustments, tracking assignments and filing reports with state authorities
  • Prepare various payroll reports and perform payroll audits
  • Resolve payroll adjustments and problems
  • Prepare payroll-related account reconciliations
  • Assist Payroll Manager with special projects
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of related to accounting and payroll procedures
  • 5-8 years’ experience multi-state payroll experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience processing payroll for Canadian employees
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with cross-border ExPat/InPat payroll tax matters/shadow payroll
  • Team player and have the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of US Federal and State tax laws pertaining to the payroll function
  • Knowledge of Canada Federal and Provincial tax laws pertaining to the payroll function
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Detail oriented and organized including strong time management skills
  • Strong Excel (intermediate to advanced) skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience with ADP WorkforceNow and/or ADP TeamPay

Compensation Range

$27.00 to $29.00 per hour. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
