Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and laboratory project teams to drive the design and fabrication of custom hardware solutions that meet project and client objectives in the water treatment industry.
  • Create detailed 3D solid models along with comprehensive bills of materials (BOMs) to facilitate accurate and efficient materials procurement.
  • Generate shop drawings for fabrication and documentation.
  • Oversee procurement and resource management to ensure timely acquisition of components and materials necessary for project success.
  • Provide technical support for laboratory and field operations, including the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions to challenges in the water treatment industry.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment within fabrication and warehouse facilities.
  • Facilitate the optimization of design and fabrication processes to enhance workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

 

  • B.S. in Engineering or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • 4-8 years of professional experience in a shop setting with applied knowledge in a variety of fabrication and machining processes.
  • 4-8 years of professional experience and a high degree of proficiency in 3D solid modeling and creation of shop drawings.  (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
  • Exhibit strong computer skills and the ability to rapidly adapt to new software tools as needed.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with a strong ability to solve problems and attention to detail.
  • Continuously learns, mentors others, and shares technical expertise to boost team performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the water industry and familiarity with water treatment processes are strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in automation, instrumentation and control systems, as well as proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLC), is highly desirable.
  • Experience with a high-level programming language (e.g., Python) is highly valued.
  • Experience with hardware solutions using Raspberry Pi, or a strong willingness to learn is highly valued.

Compensation Range

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
