We are seeking a Mid Level Instrumentation and Control Engineer to help with I&C designs for water and wastewater clients.

Responsibilities

  • Leads I&C design teams for medium and large projects
    Monitors scope, schedule, and budget and controls the work to the project plan
    Develops P&IDs, control strategies, network drawings, control panel layouts, technical memorandums, and other typical I&C drawings and deliverables
    Develops scopes of work for I&C systems, networks and projects
    Designs PLC SCADA networks for medium and large system
    Prepares specifications for instruments, computers, networking equipment, PLCs and associated components
    Reviews contractor and vendor submittals
    Develops preliminary and final construction cost estimates for I&C
    Meets with clients for design-related workshops, including instrument preferences, HMI graphics design and standard development
    Conducts quality management reviews of instrumentation and control designs
    Mentors and trains Staff Instrumentation Engineers
    Effectively participates in client contacts and business development efforts
    Understands, implements, and enforces company and client technical standards on projects
    Travel required when requested during design, construction, and operation 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • 6-12 years experience in electrical power and control systems for water, wastewater, and petrochemical facilities
  • Capable of 480 VAC designs, detailed conduit routing, P&IDs, load studies, power distribution, lighting and process control, short circuit studies, single line diagrams, elementary diagrams, MCC layouts, electrical specifications, logic diagrams, control schematics, assist in field construction and start-up activities
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within six months

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

 

Pay Range

$110,000 to $190,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
