We are seeking a Stormwater Client Service Manager/Project Manager to support our vision of becoming the best water consulting firm. As part of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal stormwater systems, capital improvement planning, drainage design, water quality studies and compliance, flood mitigation and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Expand Carollo’s presence in the local stormwater market via targeted business development strategies, including growing specific client relationships and participating in select professional society activities.
  • Collaborate with Stormwater Leads to develop/implement strategy for continued stormwater growth and innovation across the company.
  • Develop a stormwater project delivery team in North Carolina.
  • Manage planning and detailed design projects, including management of contract document production (i.e., plan sets and specifications), stormwater analysis, report writing, and other activities needed to support the planning, design, and construction services for stormwater systems. Project may include pipe drainage systems, open channels, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, multi-benefit facilities, and green infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, designers, and scientists, among others, who support specific assignments.
  • Some travel within North Carolina is expected.  Travel outside of North Carolina may also be needed to support strategic national efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering or other appropriate engineering majors
  • 10+ years of experience relating to stormwater and water resources projects
  • Professional Engineering License in North Carolina or the ability to get one within 6 months
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams to deliver planning and design solutions for stormwater management challenges.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with client service and business development efforts, including project positioning, proposal preparation, interviews, and technical presentations
  • Ability to present to groups and communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Experience leading the development of federal, state, and local permit applications and compliance reports
  • Experience developing design documentation and bid packages.
  • Experience supervising work of, training, and mentoring project staff.
  • Experience with preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Knowledge and experience designing green infrastructure and nature-based solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team building skills
  • Familiarity with standard stormwater analysis tools, including Hydra CAD, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM (EPA,XP,PC), ArcGIS, and Civil 3D (SSA).
  • Proficiency in the preparation of technical reports, graphics, and guidance documents
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering or other appropriate engineering major
  • Familiarity with FEMA floodplain regulations and submittal of Letters of Map Revision (LOMR) and Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMR)
  • Familiarity with advanced stormwater analysis:
  • Familiarity with Benefit Cost Analysis (USACE, FEMA)

Pay Range

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
