Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Sustainability Lead to lead sustainability consulting and certification of projects, including guiding project teams toward third-party verifications,  working with clients to implement their sustainability goals, client presentations, managing junior staff, and support marketing pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform Envision-based sustainability assessments for infrastructure projects
  • Provide sustainability guidance to internal design teams across multiple projects
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to integrate sustainable design solutions
  • Advise multidisciplinary teams with sustainable design input to maintain high-quality and cohesive project outcomes
  • Lead sustainability presentations for clients and help guide project execution in line with client sustainability goals
  • Delegate work, mentor junior staff, and manage delivery
  • Contribute to writing proposals and winning new work
  • Attend and participate in selected conferences
  • Contribute to the leadership and continued growth of Carollo’s Resilience and Sustainability Technical Practice

Qualifications

  • Envision Sustainability Professional
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, or sustainability related field is required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in sustainability within infrastructure or construction
  • Extensive expertise in sustainability assessment tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, executing assigned work plans and delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in the water industry
  • LEED Green Associate
  • Professional Engineer license

Pay Range

$100,000 to $160,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
