Engineering Aide

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking an Engineering Aide to help assist with electrical design work.

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate a high level initiative and be a strategic thinker. The candidate will play a key role in aiding our design and engineering staff through the electrical design process our projects.

• Prepares documents, forms, and correspondence according to established company policies and procedures
• Performs routine testing and inspection functions to check performance or conformity with plans and specifications
• Researches regulations, procedures and technical reference materials
• Assists with data collection and analysis, updating of drawings, data entry, and engineering calculations
• Creates or prepares necessary documentation for projects
• Under close supervision, prepares plans, cost estimates, and specifications
• Assists in the preparation, filing, and retrieval of engineering maps, documents, and records
• Available to attend project meetings with the client and staff
• Available to meet with the regulatory agency to obtain relevant design data/requirements and permitting
• Identifies the needs to assemble a work force and necessary resources to complete the assignment
• Supervises and guides the assigned team to successfully manage the assignment
• Possesses good teamwork and cooperation

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
• Basic understanding of engineering techniques, procedures, and codes
• Perform arithmetic with commonly used units of measure
• Develop electrical site plans and equipment layouts
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 2-year college degree or technical school applicable to engineering and technical drafting.

$33.65 hourly. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
