Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Web App Development Intern to help accelerate the development of the web dashboards while the main development team is focusing on the simulator and backend. Join our team as a Software Development Intern and gain hands-on experience building modern web applications using ASP.NET Core Razor Pages. You will work alongside experienced developers to deliver features, fix bugs, and enhance the user experience for a data-driven web portal.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining web pages using ASP.NET Core Razor Pages and C#.
  • Implement and update front-end components using Razor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries such as jQuery and Kendo UI.
  • Write and debug client-side scripts to enable dynamic UI features and AJAX-based interactions.
  • Support integration of third-party UI components (e.g., DevExpress, Kendo UI).
  • Help design and consume RESTful endpoints for AJAX communication between the front end and back end.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues, test new features, and participate in code reviews.
  • Work with SQL queries and basic database operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Student currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree program in Computer Science or similar major
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of C# and object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Exposure to ASP.NET Core or similar web frameworks.
  • Understanding of how web applications communicate using HTTP and JSON.
  • Willingness to learn new libraries and tools (e.g., Kendo UI, DevExpress).
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•  Experience with Razor Pages or MVC.
•  Experience with SQL or relational databases.
•  Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
