Mechanical Engineering Intern

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to help the Building Services Group with design and construction project work.

• Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Performs elementary engineering assignments and works from the designs of others
  • Compiles data and completes analysis
  • Performs elementary design computations
  • Prepares engineering plans
  • Assist preparing reports
  • Contact vendor(s) to obtain equipment information
  • Performs quantity take offs to aid in cost estimate
  • Works under close supervision
  • Receives specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected
  • Participate in field activities and site visits

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Currently pursuing bachelors degree in mechanical engineering field
• Finishing or completed junior year of college
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, Sketchup)

• Passed or scheduled the FE/EIT exam
