We are seeking a Senior Water Treatment Engineer to support our vision of becoming the best water consulting firm. As a member of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and reuse pilot studies, treatment, and engineering services during construction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering work for various water treatment technologies and projects within the Water Practice including pilot studies and design
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on small to large projects of a moderately complex nature
  • Work on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, write specifications, facilitate permitting, and prepare cost estimates for various water treatment projects
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables; data entry and analysis, and working through the construction phase
  • Manage projects including being responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
  • Direct and support team members to produce successful projects
  • Training and mentoring of staff
  • Responsible for acting independently and making decisions on technical matters
  • Responsible for directing and managing subconsultants performing services on projects
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients and maintain those relationships
  • Assist in developing proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations for new project pursuits
  • Active in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, member of technical committee, etc.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • 15+ years of water treatment design experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and construction administration of water treatment projects
  • Project management experience including development and management of scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance plans
  • Business development experience including development of statements of qualifications, proposals, and interviews
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
