Responsibilities

  • Performing engineering work in water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
  • Work on engineering planning and design projects
  • Hydraulic modeling using Innovyze software programs (Infowater, InfoWorks) and/or Bentley (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, WaterGEMS), or Aquanuity (Aqua Twin Water and Sewer)
  • Prepare reports
  • Develop plans and specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
  • Water distribution and/or wastewater and stormwater collection system modeling
  • Permitting and alternative analysis
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
  • Data entry and analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum academic requirements include coursework in hydraulics and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • Knowledge of system hydraulics, hydraulic modeling software for pressurized and/or gravity pipeline networks, knowledge and experience working with GIS
  • Knowledge of civil design concepts and familiarity with codes and regulations related to drinking water and water pollution control
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in water and sewer system modeling, master planning 
  • PE license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in multiple states

Pay Range

$100,000 to $130,000 per year annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
