We are seeking a Mid Level Process Mechanical Engineer well versed with wastewater processes including digestion to be part of a once-in-a-career engineering program supporting the transformation of one of the largest municipal wastewater treatment facilities. As part of our program team, you will work on projects related to the development of a complex and critical digester expansion while supporting existing operational needs during its transformation for the future. This includes the planning, development, design and sequence of various prerequisite projects to achieve the main program goals. There are many other facets of this program for the delivery of best-of-class planning and design of many interrelated treatment processes and operations to successfully implement such a marquis program.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work on facility plans, alternative analysis, and engineering design projects including services during construction
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
  • Develop plans and specification
  • Prepare and lead internal team and client-facing presentations and workshops for various program related tasks for project development
  • Lead digestion modeling and assist analysis of plant flows and loads

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in civil, environmental, mechanical or chemical engineering
  • 8 to 12 years of wastewater design experience as a consulting engineer with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical and biological treatment process and treatment plant design
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Washington
  • Highly motivated, articulate and self-starter
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with peers and mentors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience in solids digestion treatment
  • Masters degree in civil or environmental engineering

Pay Range

$100,00 to $150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
