We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our Private Sector Group client growth and project demands. You will work on industrial projects to solve complex water challenges through innovative solutions that drive productivity, facility and system reliability, and overall profitability.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on projects of significant size and complexity, with full responsibility and authority for budget, schedule, contractual obligations/risk, and quality standards
  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues with top-level staff of other organizations
  • Responsible for several projects concurrently
  • Supervise teams with multiple engineering or professional disciplines
  • Make decisions and recommendation that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive business development, engineering and relative activities of the company
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities demonstrating significant innovation and importance
  • Initiate and maintain extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other industry organizations, requiring skill in negotiation of critical issues
  • Primary responsibility for preparing proposals, conducting interviews, and negotiating contracts with clients after selection
  • Proactive marketing and business development including long-term client relationship building, project positioning, and development of Client Action Plans for long-term client service
  • Collaborate with client management personnel
  • Manage internal staff mentoring, training, and reviews
  • Identify the need for and direct vendors and subconsultants performing services on projects
  • Participate in professional associations, including presentations of technical papers, member of technical committees, and officer of local or national organizations
  • Recruit new employees and participate in the selection process
  • Travel required

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • 15+ years of water and wastewater project experience in the field of Environmental Consulting Engineering with an emphasis on hydraulics, physical, chemical and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design for water, wastewater, and reuse
  • Must have demonstrated experience with managing small- to large-sized projects during the planning, design, and construction phases of water, wastewater, stormwater, and reuse infrastructure and treatment projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
  • Familiar with a broad range of issues related to water, wastewater, stormwater and reuse systems, including master planning, conveyance, and treatment plant design
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Business development, proposal, and interview experience
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects with technicians using Revit and/or AutoCAD including AutoCAD 3D for deliverables

Pay Range

$150,000 to $200,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
