We are seeking a mid-level civil engineer to help with project planning, design and construction of water or wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on water or wastewater projects of various sizes and in all project phases.
  • Prepare technical memoranda or preliminary reports, conduct hydraulic calculations, data analysis, alternatives analysis, and equipment/material selection.
  • Develop high quality construction documents plans and specifications for new or retrofit  water or wastewater treatment plant projects.
  • Lead design area(s) or acts as project engineer on final design phase of wastewater treatment plant design project.
  • Prepares cost estimates for all project phases.
  • Participates in ESDC through the construction phase on the projects.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, support discipline engineers, drafters, technicians, equipment vendors, and others who assist in specific assignments.
  • Participates in project pursuits and preparing proposals.
  • Prepares technical presentations and presents in client workshops.
  • Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 6-12 years of water/wastewater project experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Texas or the ability to obtain within six months
  • Experience includes project planning, detailed design, and constructions support for water or wastewater treatment facilities. 
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the design and construction of small, medium, and large sized water and/or wastewater projects with responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Understanding of treatment plant hydraulics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must communicate effectively with clients and project team.
  • Client presentation and public speaking role experience
  • Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Pay Range

$100,00 to $160,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
