Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Supervisory Civil/Enviromental Engineer to provide technical and leadership support our Infrastructure Team in Portland, OR and the region.

Responsibilities

  • Design of water and wastewater transmission and collection system piping
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of medium to large sizes
  • Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards
  • Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to civil/environmental engineering field
  • Responsible for technical and career mentoring of regional infrastructure staff
  • Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods
  • Assists in proposal preparation, interviews and contract negotiations with clients after selection
  • Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projects
  • Works closely with subconsultants on projects
  • Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions
  • Travel required when requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • 15+ years of wet infrastructure design experience 
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium to large sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
  • Experience designing wet infrastructure, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Pay Range

An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
