Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a GIS Analyst to assist with GIS figure production, creation of ArcGIS Online web maps and dashboards, and geospatial data analysis. This position requires comprehensive proficiency in the ESRI platform (ArcGIS Pro, Spatial Analyst, and ArcGIS Online) and demonstrated knowledge of GIS data processing and analysis capabilities. This position also requires a good understanding of engineering exhibit development in the area of water and wastewater infrastructure. Job duties will also include the coordination of figure production activities between multiple disciplines at the project level.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to create, maintain, and update GIS geodatabases. Ability to edit and maintain enterprise geodatabase a plus.
  • Use ArcGIS Pro to update maps, perform data analysis, and develop figures and tables to communicate project findings and recommendations
  • Able to work with minimal direction and minimal supervision to produce high-quality analysis results and figures.
  • Working knowledge of basic survey practices and an understanding of coordinate geometry.
  • Ability to update and maintain geospatial data based on working drawings for civil site plans (grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches (determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail).
  • Knowledge in the use of ProjectWise, Microsoft Office Software.
  • Ability to generate elevation raster surfaces.
  • Strong understanding of coordinate system projections and datum transformations.
  • Coordinates work activities with other discipline designers and engineering staff.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and conforms to the Carollo GIS Best Practice cartographic figure and database management standards to ensure quality control.
  • Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure planning, modeling and design.
  • Basic understanding of converting data between MicroStation, AutoCAD, KML, and GIS.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience in engineering or related field desired
  • Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, or related field
  • Ability to multitask and manage high quality deliverables on multiple projects
  • Professional experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online experience required.
  • Python programing or FME experience a plus.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay Range

$65,000 to $95,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
