Overview

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized engineering firm specializing in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Project Manager focused on Water and Wastewater System Planning to join our team in our Seattle, Portland or Boise locations primarily for Northwest projects. Our team focuses on water, wastewater, stormwater, and recycled water hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and planning with opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects from traditional master planning, hydraulic modeling, to developing alternatives, analysis and system improvements in collaboration with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop traditional as well as integrated master plans for municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater utilities.
  • Conduct data analysis for hydrologic conditions, sanitary and storm flows, water demands, system hydraulics, etc.
  • Develop conceptual site plans and cost estimates.
  • Conduct system modeling for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
  • Assist with permitting and alternatives analysis.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
  • Support and develop client relations.
  • Share knowledge and provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineering staff on master planning and hydraulic modeling projects.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of directly-relevant experience in water, sewer, and stormwater system modeling, and master planning.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Project management skills with demonstrated experience managing staff with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
  • Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, CAD software, and water and sewer hydraulic modeling packages from Autodesk (Inovyze and XPSWMM), Bentley, and DHI Mike.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Pay Range

$90,000 to $115,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
