Civil/Environmental Engineer, Mid Level

Carollo Engineers is a nationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to work with existing teams and help Carollo design and deliver engineering projects to existing and new clients.

The successful candidate will be a Florida registered PE, will be action oriented, experienced at designing municipal utility water, wastewater, and/or reclaimed water facilities, has a strong work ethic, enjoys working colaboratively with team members through a combination of on-line and in-person settings, and has relationships with utilities in Northeast Florida.  The successful candidate will play a key role in Carollo's growing utility business in Northeast Florida, and could support projects in other areas of Florida.

• Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
• Work on engineering planning and design projects
• Prepare reports
• Develop plans and specifications
• Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
• System modeling
• Permitting and alternative analysis
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
• Data entry and analysis
• Provide engineering services during construction
• Participate in field activities such as pilot testing

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 4 to 8 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Work well in a team environment
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering
