We are seeking a Senior Engineer to help design and plan municipal water and reuse projects for our Tampa Bay Area clients. As part of our team, you will play an instrumental role in major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical One Water and water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the Bay Area.

Responsibilities

  • Designs water treatment facilities
  • Experience with water quality studies, data analysis, and bench-scale testing
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of various sizes
  • Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards
  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to civil/environmental engineering field
  • Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods
  • Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection
  • Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance on existing projects
  • Works closely with subconsultants on projects
  • Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of water project experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida (or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity within 6 months of employment)
  • Experience with managing and designing projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
  • Experience working on water treatment, water transmission/distribution, water storage, groundwater wells, and master planning projects.
  • Experience designing water treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
